A fully rigged ship, square and fore sails set, is in convoy with two Barquentines, as the early evening glow catches their sails. Three other sailing vessels and a steam ship are also seen in the background, as is the Danish ? coast in this fine marine painting. The painting was professionally cleaned in 2018 and is a handsome example of contemporary marine painting. In 1936, Landt was chosen to accompany his Royal Highness King Christian X of Denmark to Iceland and the Faroe Islands, where Landt worked on a series of seascapes commissioned by the King.
